What does Root Orange do?
Our award-winning startup has developed a technology that allows multiple local businesses in different cities to use the _exact same domain name_ for their websites on an exclusive basis. For example, a law firm in NYC can use Attorney.com and all NYC area web traffic to that domain is routed directly to their site. A law firm in Chicago use the same domain for the Chicago area.
How are they different?
No one has ever done it before and every small business wants a category-defining domain name to drive website traffic and customer recall.
Why could Root Orange be BIG?
All good domain names were taken long ago by domain squatters yet they generate tons of search and type-in traffic local businesses can harness from their local areas. Small businesses are spending an enormous and growing amount on online marketing so we’re riding a positive growth trend.
How they plan to make money:
We sell domain leases to small businesses around the country and abroad.
Our thoughts:
Tough problem to fix – although can easily see value for a particular set of clients.
