What does Cabcorner LLC do?
Facilitates the process of meeting up and sharing cabs in urban environments by leveraging the convenience and utility of hand held devices such as smart phones. Currently, New York City is where we are conducting our pilot program.
How are they different?
We are able to serve people, in real time, by giving them the tools, network and infrastructure to engage a large community of people interested in saving money and preserving the environment, while still getting around town quickly and efficiently.
Why could Cabcorner LLC be BIG?
We are operating in a truly new industry that will be granted a great and arguably pivotal role in the continued development of urban environments. Effective transportation networks are the back bone of functioning societies and how those networks are put together is probably the single most important factor in how sustainable that system will prove to be. We are introducing a new way, and arguably, a more effective way of taking advantage of an age old system.
How they plan to make money:
By establishing sponsored meeting points where our users will congregate to share a taxi ride–we will provide a means by which local retail merchants can take advantage of increased foot traffic and our users can take advantage of deals offered to them by those establishments. We will also generate revenue using traditional advertising methods on our web based platform. A final stream of revenue will come from partnerships we establish with certain transportation providers in unique areas.
Our thoughts:
Love the idea, although there are some potential serious logistical challenges. That being said, this could be exceptionally valuable – in NY a single shared fare could save some substantial cash.

This is an AMAZING idea. When will you be launching in San Francisco?
This is an AMAZING idea. When will you be launching in San Francisco? Does the platform estimate the cost of the ride for each person sharing it?
Ummm. The website doesn’t work and their sister site Cab Easy doesn’t seem to have any riders either except two rides in the year 2020 (one in New York and one in Italy) and 4 other rides to airports at differing points over the summer. Looks like this company has a ways to go.
the sites arent supposed to work yet, they dont launch until may 31, duh. we have something very similar in miami, though predominantly it just caters to airports
