What does Sketch Maven do?
Sketch Maven is an online marketplace that allows buyers to easily find and sellers to easily sell original comic book art. Original comic art are the unique, hand drawn pages that the artist drew to create the comic books we all know and love.
How are they different?
Original comic art is a unique product- there are tens of millions of pages available from all the published comic books but only one of each page exists. Sketch Maven is a marketplace focused solely on comic art. It is built off an advanced database that includes the meta information for those pages making it easy for buyers to find what they’re looking for. And since most of the data are already in the database, it is a simple process for artists to sell their art.
Why could Sketch Maven be BIG?
Original comic artwork is by definition unique and existing marketplaces and auction sites do not cater to unique items very well. We plan on expanding the Sketch Maven concept beyond comic art to other unique collectibles.
How they plan to make money:
Sketch Maven makes money by charging a nominal fee to sellers, only when the art sells.
