What does ShrinkGeek do?
We write about health and fitness from the perspective of folks who are self-identified geeks first and exercise buffs second, combining information from all over the web into fun and informative articles.
We also conduct interviews and review products that might appeal to our visitors, and engage in discussion with them in our site’s comments and forums.
How are they different?
We provide a unique take on fitness, health, and exercise, since we’re all geeks, gamers, and bloggers and not your average iron-pumping gym muscle-heads. There are a lot of folks out there who want to get healthy, but might be intimidated by “gym culture,” and we grok that. Whether it’s geeking out about the latest exergaming title or sharing cool workout routines that appeal to our geeky nature, we want to encourage everyone to “live long and prosper.”
Why could ShrinkGeek be BIG?
With our combined gaming, blogging and fitness expertise, we’ve got an understanding of not only what our readers want, but how to present it in an engaging and informative way.
Nobody else combines our passion for rolling 20’s, writing snappy prose, and getting in shape to survive a velociraptor or zombie attack. We are brilliant, good-looking, and, most of all, very obviously the pinnacle of humility.
How they plan to make money:
Right now, we’re depending on advertising and referral (click-through affiliate) revenue. By increasing traffic and interest, and developing our dedicated visitor base (including our discussion boards)
Our thoughts:
No thoughts at the moment. Very interesting!
