What does Shadow Development do?
Specialize in Professional Web Development for small- and mid-sized businesses needing a new or revamped website in order to improve their online presence(s). We also offer marketing services (such as Business Cards, Flyers, and Letterheads) for a more professional touch for our clients.
How are they different?
We hand-craft every website. Instead of using a visual editor (such as FrontPage, DreamWeaver, WordPress, Joomla, etc), we actually hand-code everything. This allows for more customization options, better flexibility, and easier editing for clients. Most visual editors are either expensive, limit your creativity and services, or you have to have a Tech-based degree to operate one. We offer complete website management services to take the hassle of website management off of our client’s hands and makes it easier for them. One less thing off their task list.
We also offer SaaS services, such as ScrumIt (taking scrum-based projcet management to the web) and The College Kiosk.
Why could Shadow Development be BIG?
The market will always be out there for business to get a new website or a revamp to what they have, or they are looking to add to the services they already have. Our plan is to offer a 1-stop management service to customers, in addition to the hand-crafted website in order to create a unique package to offer to customers where as other companies either just offer web design on the side or use a visual editor and charge 5x the price. As our motto says, “Simply Professional, Professionally Simple,” our goal is to make it easy for the customer. Our goal is to become the #1 name people think about when they think “websites”.
How they plan to make money:
We charge on a per-project basis and have a 20% markup for services provided. This allows for reinvesting back into the company, along with giving our employees an earnable profit. The clients pay 50% upfront (so we make sure we can get paid), and pay the rest after services have been provided.
Our thoughts:
No thoughts at the moment. Very interesting!
