What does ODIN – RFID Experts do?
ODIN has built the only true operating system for RFID, making the devices “intelligent” and eliminating expensive middleware. The RFID OS called “EasyEdge” is the foundation for several packaged, ROI-driven RFID solutions. We have completed more than 300 successful projects for clients like Airbus, Johnson & Johnson, Wells Fargo, Dell and many others. We focus on IT Asset Tracking, Healthcare, Weapons Tracking, Aerospace, and Governemnt Solutions.
How are they different?
We are the only company that has a true hardware-agnostic operating system for RFID, that is embedded on the device eliminating middleware and costly servers. We combine deep RFID hardware expertise with elegant embedded software design. We enhance the performance of the RFID devices and add a business process layer making the data more useful to applications like SAP, Oracle, Maximm, etc.
Why could ODIN – RFID Experts be BIG?
All of the Fortune 1000 companies need to track and secure items and they can’t count on people to do it. Passive RFID is accurate and cheap enough to give every item its own voice. RFID will notify you if an item leaves a secure area or is taken by the wrong person. The B2B opportunity will make RFID big. The Consumer Applications (See Vail, Disney, etc) will make RFID HUGE, as the virtual world is connected to the physical world automatically. ODIN’s Operating System will be on the majority of devices connecting RFID tags and readers.
How they plan to make money:
We charge a licensing fee for the operating system and a monthly recurring SAAS fee for the monitoring of each device.
Our thoughts:
No thoughts at the moment. Very interesting!
