What does InTouchLink Senior’s Software do?
InTouchLink set out to open internet and computer access to this technologically oft ignored group. InTouchLink has created a fully web-based system that allows seniors who have never used a computer before to simply and easily begin using any PC or Mac for internet, email and other uses that most of us take for granted. With a patented system that reduces the clutter usually found on Windows and Apple computers we have provided a clean, intuitive interface for seniors to use. The system overlays accessibility features on every web page (without affecting the underlying site), allows communication between seniors and their family and friends, and provides a central place for them to store photos, favourites and other personal files. InTouchLink will also monitor a senior’s usage and add features as a user becomes more efficient and increase size and simplicity as unfortunately a senior ages. Obviously, the application of this software stretches far further than just the senior market, but can be used by children or those with a multitude of disabilities.
How are they different?
InTouchLink uses a patented system to provide very extensive functionality, while continuing the theme of simplicity and intuitiveness to encourage seniors who have never used a computer before to easily begin enjoying what the rest of use take for granted.
Other systems attempt various levels of simplicity, but end up diluting the functionality such that the product is no longer really usable. InTouchLink will also monitor the user’s usage and add features as a senior improviser make the system simpler as a user ages.
Why could InTouchLink Senior’s Software be BIG?
A recent FCC survey in the US, revealed that only 35% of adults age 65+ use the internet. While the numbers differ slightly across various surveys, the reality is clear: the proportion of seniors using computers and the internet is very disproportionate to their representation in society. With 39 million seniors living in the US and 516 million around the world (projected to rise to 1.53 billion by 2050), having 65% of this growing demographic not using computers or the web is a substantial challenge.
With a patented system that opens up the internet, emails and computers to these largly ignored users, InTouchLink is uniquely placed to service this demographic in North America and in fact across the world.
