What does The Fresh Air Club, LLC do?
Your Home Air Filters. Delivered. The Fresh Air Club is s convenient, subscription based service for home delivery of premium MERV11-rated air filters every 30, 60, or 90 days to help consumers change their air filters on a regular basis. We also RECYCLE the replacement air filters using pre-paid return shipping and tracking system to keep the dirty air filters out of the local landfill. a Member who selects the service uses a pre-paid return label to send the dirty filters back to our recycling center. We are the ONLY company in America providing this subscription business model which is US Patent Pending.
How are they different?
Our MERV-11 rated filters are better than those that can be bought at stores (manufactured by the 3rd largest filtration company in the world). Our air filters out perform the brand names such as 3MFiltrete. We are the only one offering a convenient drop ship model of air filters for just one replacement cycle (the majority of the online retailers sell only in bulk). We offer FREE shipping (though a partnership with FEDEX). We offer a recycling option (industry first) as an eco-friendly option for members. we track every filter so we can determine its end of life (critical for pending LEEDS legislation and potential tax credits). We are launching educational programs (i.e. Operation Breathe Fit) to service a community awareness about poor indoor air quality and its impact on your health. Only a couple of other small competitors, but they have poor websites and even worse customer service (plus they don’t offer the recycling option for which we have submitted our patent).
Why could The Fresh Air Club, LLC be BIG?
Our Solution is based on the concept of a convenient and eco-friendly service that provides a premium air filter that cannot be bought in stores. Other subscription based delivery services have proven this model. The cost of our service is comparable to what the consumer would pay in the store (except they get a higher quality filter from the Fresh Air Club). We strive to educate our members, their families, and their association through web based content and partnerships with different associations and affinity groups. Almost 60% of Americans (according to a survey with the American Lung Association) admit to forgetting to replace their air filter on a regular basis. The EPA says poor indoor air quality (which can be remedied by changing your air filter on a regular basis) is one of the TOP 5 health risks to Americans. And 60% of Americans surveyed indicate they look for ways to help reduce their impact on the Environment.
How they plan to make money:
Our business model has been developed to insure a minimum 30% profit margin. We have negotiated with suppliers unique pricing for our business model. We have built an affiliate network marketing plan that is automated and also allows for unique and large partners. We will leverage marketing partnerships (i.e. asthma and lung associations, senior affinity groups, health care and pet care professionals, and utility companies) to extend the service offering to their customer base.
Our thoughts:
No thoughts at the moment. Very interesting!

Wow. This is a great concept. I think the intersting component of this business model is the “subscription service” which will create long term revenues beyond just the commodity of air filters for both the delivery and recycling components. It appears the there is a significant need in the consumer world for this type of service. It will come down to awareness and partnerships, which it appears they have made significant strides in developing. All around, nice business.
