What does Consumer Change LLC do?
Consumer Change enables users to provide feedback to businesses about their environmental practices. Users can use our website or iPhone App to learn about what businesses are doing in the environmental area, comment on their green experiences with that company and read responses from the companies concerned. This allows our Users to make a difference to by showing businesses that they care. Putting the greening conversation in a public forum enables community action for change.
How are they different?
We focus only on environmental issues and we go a step further, we send the text of the Review to companies and invite their response. Our aim is to facilitate a dialogue between a company and its consumers about the environmental issues, environmental policy and practices and ultimately enable change. As far as we are aware, we have no direct competitors.
Why could Consumer Change LLC be BIG?
Environmental concerns are topical, there is a lot of talk about companies who ‘green wash’ their consumers. Consumer Change ends all that. We provide a facility for Users to enable change. Users feel good about their contribution. Companies can use Consumer Change to understand their consumers’ concerns about the environment and to dialogue with those consumers about their environmental policies and practices.
How they plan to make money:
Next month we are starting click through ads on the site. However our long term aim is to pull information from the back end of the web site where we can categorize Reviews based on industry and environmental issue (Reduce, Recycle, Overpackaging, etc.). We will sell these reports to companies or their PR agents who want to know how they compare to their peers in different categories of environmental issues.
Our thoughts:
No thoughts at the moment. Very interesting!
