What does Collect We Do do?
CollectWeDo is a Social Collecting Platform that that brings together collectors, hobbyists and professionals while enabling social networking, inventory management and Ecommerce between them. The Web site was developed to give collectors a free platform where they can showcase and inventory their treasures as well as find new collector friends. CollectWeDo combines a number of applications on a single platform that has been optimized specifically for collectors. This provides a place where collectors and hobbyists can join clubs, interface with people who have a common interest, show off collections, inventory items and find valuable information relating to their hobby from professionals.
How are they different?
Most social networking sites are more suited for connecting people that know each other (e.g. friends, family or colleagues), while while other applications, such as online inventorying, have not been optimized for collectors. Additionally these applications are spread across multiple websites. CollectWeDo combines these disjointed applications onto a single, easy-to-use platform that has been optimized specifically for collectors, hobbyists and their clubs.
Why could Collect We Do be BIG?
It is estimated that 66% of all people collect something. More importantly, the majority of people that collect like to share and learn with others that have a common interest. This market also has requirements that are very specific to their needs. In addition to advertising, CollectWeDo plans to make money from a number of value-added services which will include the buying, selling and shipping of collectibles online.
