Drrop.com – An Easier Way to Say “Hi”

What does Drrop.com do?

In some ways, using Drrop is similar to throwing a message in a bottle to the ocean. When you use drrop, you can post messages called “drrop,” while you can see drrops from people around the world.

However, there are some differences we would like to explain here.

1. A drrop (message) only shows up one by one
When you log into Drrop, automatically you will see one drrop from someone in the world. There is a “wipe” button below the drrop. If you click “wipe,” then you will see the next drrop.

2. Once you wipe it, never again
As a rain drop hits you only once in its life time, a drrop can be encountered only once.

3. 24hours, not forever
At this time, a drrop will be invisible in 24 hours after it is posted. After 24 hours, people will not be able to see your drrop, unless they have saved or replied to the drrop. In this way, we keep the drrops always fresh and up-to-date.
*Note: This function is disabled for now. Once we finishes the first phase of testing, we will start running this function.

How are they different?

Drrop introduces an easier way to say “hi.”

With Drrop, you can say “hi” to people before getting to know them.

We communicate online. We often use social networking websites to communicate with friends in our networks. We, the Drrop development team, thought it seems similar to go to school / workplace and chat with classmates / co-workers.

However, in our real life, you also meet people on the way to go to school / workplace and enjoy random conversations. You may say “hi” to people passing by, or talk about the weather at a fruit stand while talking about the perfect balance of coffee & milk at a donut shop.

With Drrop, you can do just the same on the internet.

Why could Drrop.com be BIG?

Drrop is a new way to getting to know people out of your community. It can be used before communicating with people on currently-existing social networking websites.

How they plan to make money:

At this moment, we would rather leave this uncertain.

No thoughts at the moment. Very interesting!

What does Safe T Services LLC do?

We developed a web-based communication tool that improves communication organization while encrypting everything that is shared while in-transit and while at-rest.

How are they different?

Users can sign up using any email address they already have and get strong encryption for free. There is nothing to download or install and confidential messaging is free for life. Secret messaging – the most secure messaging of its kind available for free – allows users to choose their own passkeys. This protects them from even the most savvy hacker as well as the site owner.

Why could Safe T Services LLC be BIG?

Everyone has a sense of privacy. Some say they don’t care about online privacy because they never use their real name online or never share anything compromising online. There are many others that share sensitive information online, but don’t know how to use encryption. Many of these people are bound by law to protect the privacy of those with whom or about whom they communicate. Aside from the benefits of privacy, ThreadThat is great as a conversation organizer. Long running conversations are all in one thread on one server instead of a series of email exchanges. It’s bad enough with 2 people, but when you get 3 or more participants exchanging thoughts, it is difficult to keep organized. ThreadThat.com automatically does this. We think there is a BIG need for this kind of tool.

How they plan to make money:

The model involves the use of advertising against free accounts and charging for “secret” messaging or “confidential” messaging sans advertising.

Text message marketing is the new email marketing, just better. With open rates of 98% and 72% of mobile phone users actively text messaging, this is going to be huge!

Ringio.com – Better Business With Every Call

Founded: April 2009
City: Herndon, District of Columbia

CEO: Michael Zirngibl – Co-Founder & Chairman
Founders: Sam Aparicio – Co-Founder & CEO, Ashish Soni – Co-Founder, CTO & President
Category: Communications Funding: Seed/Friends & Family
Tags: Employees: 6-15

What does Ringio do?

Ringio is the first cloud-based rich calling service that intelligently delivers calls together with the background information needed to best interact with that caller.

The company’s mission is to help small and medium-sized businesses become more efficient in identifying and handling their most valuable phone conversations through an affordable, easy to use telephony solution.

How are they different?

When it comes to taking calls, today’s small business suffers from a disconnect. Firms that invest much time, energy and resources into effectively crafting their sales or marketing proposition often find their representatives “winging it” as they interact with callers.

Employees may know who’s attempting to reach them, but not necessarily why. They don’t know which of their calls is most critical or what information they need to answer callers’ questions.

Where large companies have teams of customer service reps, scripts and screen pops to guide them through a day full of phone calls, small businesses employees are left in a constant state of frustration, facing what can seem like a never-ending stream of interruptions.

Why could Ringio be BIG?

For the first time, Ringio’s service allows small business users to make well-informed decisions and resolve issues quickly, saving both users and callers valuable time.

Users are able to improve customer care and follow-up, and ultimately, to show callers they are a priority.

How they plan to make money:

Ringio is priced starting at $99 per month for four users; additional lines are $25 per month.

Netronome.com – Leading Developer of Network Flow Processors

Founded: 2003
City: Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania
Country: United States
CEO: Niel Viljoen
Founders: Niel Viljoen, David Wells, Johann Tonsing
Category: Communications Funding: VC
Tags: semiconductor, network flow processors, secure socket layer, acceleration cards, multicore, heterogeneous Employees: Over 100

What does Netronome do?

Netronome is a leading supplier of highly programmable semiconductor products that are used for intelligent flow processing in network and communications devices. Netronome’s solutions include tightly integrated network flow processors and acceleration cards that scale to more than 20 Gbps. They are used in carrier-grade and enterprise-class communications products, as well as virtualized servers and appliances that require deep packet inspection, flow analysis and content processing, all at very high speeds for millions of simultaneous flows.

How are they different?

Because Netronome’s NFP product line provides scalable network performance up to 40 Gbps along with sophisticated packet and flow classification, in a highly programmable design environment, it provides users with a path to higher performance and software scalability, helping users develop products for next generation networks more cost-effectively and efficiently. In addition, the NFP-32xx is the industry’s first processor designed for unified computing architectures by combining high-performance network, content and security processing with I/O virtualization. As a next generation solution derived from and compatible with the Intel IXP28XX line of network processors, thousands of existing product designs, tens-of-thousands of skilled engineers, and hundreds-millions of lines of code now have an evolutionary path to higher performance and greater intelligent designs.

Why could Netronome be BIG?

Network traffic in both enterprise and carrier networks continues to rise, driving the bandwidth requirements and line rates to 10 Gbps today, and expecting to grow to 40 Gbps and beyond in a few years. With the need for application awareness, content inspection, and security processing, the amount of processing power within the network infrastructure at these ever-increasing line rates is growing exponentially.
Netronome technology features a unique heterogeneous architecture which meets these increasing network demands and does so at a lower cost than other solutions available in the market today.

How they plan to make money:

Netronome plans to make money by selling the NFP and related solutions.

What does Trade Show Internet do?

At Trade Show Internet, we rent a plug-and-play solution to provide internet connectivity for trade show exhibitors. We view it as our mission to dispel the myth that internet connectivity at trade shows and corporate events is only available through expensive, “exclusive”, in-house vendors.

How are they different?

Through the use of the latest mobile broadband technologies, we are able to offer internet at trade shows and special events for a fraction of the cost of the in-house providers. Additionally, we strive to provide the highest level of customer support, treating each patron as if they were our most important (because we truly value each and every client). Our intimate knowledge of the nation’s most frequented venues, as well as an enterprise relationship with multiple internet service providers, allows us to recommend the best possible solution given your event, location and connectivity needs. If all of this doesn’t sound compelling enough, then hopefully knowing that our service is guaranteed will.

Why could Trade Show Internet be BIG?

The trade show industry had over $11B in revenue for 2009 and everyone knows the increasing importance of being connected. The internet plays a critical role in the business world, but the sky-high cost of connectivity has precluded many companies from using internet at their trade show booths.

Now, Trade Show Internet is letting companies know they have a choice when it comes to obtaining internet for their trade show booth. As such, we have worked with hundreds of companies, from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies; saving them thousands of dollars on their trade show budget.

How they plan to make money:

Continuing to save our clients thousands of dollars while providing exceptional service.

BlogRadio is a platform that allows users to listen to a blog. With so many blogs out there, it can be difficult to find the time to read them all. By streaming text into audio, users can take their blogs with them on the go.

Why could BlogRadio be BIG?

We have formed strategic alliances with key partners in mobile, tech and automotive to provide more solutions via text-to-speech.
