What does Bryan Greenwood do?
Best Local Banks helps people and businesses find local, community banks that will support them and we help local bankers to be more visible in the communities they serve. Why? Local banks loan, invest and return their profits right back into their communities. Community banks have a simple philosophy of putting their customers and their community first, focusing on relationships rather than transactions.
Bestlocalbanks.com compares bank safety ratings, CD deposit rates, and loans at over 200 community banks headquartered in California.
How are they different?
We only showcase safe, community banks. We don’t cater to big banks or online banks.
Why could Bryan Greenwood be BIG?
Around the same time that bestlocalbanks.com was launched, a grassroots movement called “Move Your Money” began urging the public to support local banks. Move Your Money reminds everyone that local banks focus attention on the needs of communities and businesses. Conversely, many of the nation’s mega banks are structured to place a high priority on serving large corporations and investment banking activities on Wall Street.
Local banks have long played a critical role for local communities and this has never been more important than in today’s unprecedented times. A February 2010 Zogby Interactive poll found that 32 percent of respondents have considered moving some or all of their banking from a large national bank to a community bank or credit union because they are unhappy with the policies or behavior of large national banks.
How they plan to make money:
Eventually, we will make money by advertising deposit rates and generating loan referrals for banks.
Our thoughts:
No thoughts at the moment. Very interesting!
